Paul enjoys the slow-paced holidays he spends at Parque da Floresta with his wife Beverley and their three children, Samuel, Joshua and Jessica.

“It is a fantastic resort,” said Paul, smiling. “After 10 minutes at the resort you can really feel yourself relax. There’s nothing better than sitting in the sun with a beer in your hand to take the stresses away.”

After a four-day trip exploring the area Paul bought a three-bedroom villa off-plan. Having looked at different resorts he decided Parque da Floresta was “easily the best choice. Parque da Floresta has a special feel about it. As soon as you drive in you get the ‘wow’ factor.”

While Paul is at home in the UK, the property is looked after by the Vigia Management Services team. “Our manager Maria really looks after us”, Paul commented, “when we’re not there we sometimes rent the villa out to friends and family.”

Paul adds “the weather is marvelous too. When we’re at home with friends and the weather’s a bit dreary we say to each other - we need a dose of Parque da Floresta“.

When in Portugal, Vigia owners, Andy and Jill make the most of the sociable atmosphere of the complex. “I’ve made a lot of friends at Parque da Floresta,” says Jill. “There’s a real lack of pretension there; it’s really down to earth and easy. We’ve got friends in some of the other resorts and when we go to visit them, I just can’t wait to get back to our place.” They also take the opportunity to indulge in some of the leisure activities that their busy management consultancy does not leave them time for in the UK – Andy plays a few rounds of golf and Jill makes use of the personal training facilities, as well as the spa and gym.

“Our feeling about the development is that it’s another home, rather than a holiday destination. It’s made a lovely addition to our lives.”
